Shared short codes are a low-cost and quick solution for a client expecting low to moderate volume of messages. With these short codes, you share a short code number with other customers and use keywords to direct messages to your particular application and / or trigger a specific response. The GSM users’ send message with there phone numbers when they request for more information about your advertised product/service by sending a text like: CLICK (space) information (space) email address to 35815 and receive immediate respond.

With a Shared Short Code you choose your own unique Keyword but share the number (e.g. 60777) with other companies. With a Dedicated Short Code you own the number and so can create as many Keywords as you like.
